Free Invoice Template (Excel, J$)

If you're still writing invoices by hand or typing them up in Word and adding the numbers on your phone, this will save you time and mistakes. Type in what you sold, the quantity and the price, and the sheet adds everything up.

It works for any small business: printing shops, barbers, caterers, mechanics, tutors, freelancers, anybody who needs to get paid.

What you can do with it

• Bill customers for products, services or both on the same invoice
• Take off a discount and add GCT if you're registered
• Record a part payment, and it shows the balance still owed
• Put your bank details at the bottom so customers know exactly how to pay
• Save as PDF and email or WhatsApp it to the customer

Good to know

• Give every invoice its own number (INV-001, INV-002 and so on). It makes tracking payments much easier.
• The due date is set to 14 days after the invoice date. Change the 14 if you give more or less time.
• The example line is only there to show the format, so delete it first.
• Keep GCT at 0% unless you're registered with TAJ.
• Opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice.
