LibreCAD is a free alternative to AutoCAD for 2D drawings. If you need accurate floor plans, site plans or details with proper measurements, it does the job without the expensive licence.

What you can do with it

  • Draw accurate floor plans and site layouts
  • Open and save DWG and DXF files
  • Use layers, dimensions and blocks like in AutoCAD

Good to know

It's 2D only. For 3D models, try SketchUp Free or FreeCAD.
