When you're running several jobs at once, details get lost. Which part went on which job? How many hours did the helper work? Did the customer sign off? A work order keeps all of that on one page, so nothing gets forgotten when it's time to bill.

It suits plumbers, electricians, mechanics, AC technicians, contractors, and anyone who sends workers out to do jobs.

What you can do with it

  • Write down exactly what the customer asked for
  • Assign the job to a worker and set the priority
  • List every part and material used, with costs
  • Log labour hours and rates
  • Get the customer to sign when the job is done

Good to know

  • Pick the Status and Priority from the drop-down lists.
  • The example part and labour lines are there to show the format, so clear them first.
  • Print one per job, or keep a copy of the file for each job number.
  • Use the job total to fill in your invoice.
  • Works in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
