Whether you rent out a room, an apartment or a shop, both you and your tenant need proof of every payment. Without receipts, disagreements about who paid what can drag on for months.
Fill in the top receipt and the landlord copy below fills itself in. Print, sign, cut, and hand the top half to the tenant. The second tab keeps a running log of every month's rent.
What you can do with it
- Give tenants a proper receipt every month
- Keep a matching copy for your own records
- Note any balance still owed
- Track rent paid and outstanding for the year on the Rent Log tab
Good to know
- Number every receipt in order and never reuse a number.
- Write the amount in words as well as figures.
- Set the monthly rent once on the Rent Log tab and it fills in the amount due.
- Tenants can use these receipts as proof of address and payment history.
- Works in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
